DayDayCook to acquire Yai’s Thai

NEW YORK — Content-driven food consumer brand DayDayCook is acquiring a Thai American food brand, Yai’s Thai. The acquisition will be financed through a combination of both cash and stock, the company said. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, the company said.

Yai’s Thai produces Thai-based pantry staples such as curries and stir-fry sauces. The company was founded in 2014 by Leland and Sarah Copenhagen based on their family’s Thai heritage. The company’s products may be found at Costco, Whole Foods Market, Safeway, Sprouts, and Kroger.
